We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer for Lunar Rover Power Projects to join our team with JETS Teammate company, HX5
The Project Engineer for Lunar Rover Power Projects will:
Develop project documentation and maintain status of drawings, procurements, risks, etc.
Work with design and analysis teams to ensure project requirements are achieved
Inspection of hardware upon receipt to verify match with fabrication drawing/models
Test rig and equipment buildup as needed
Data analysis of test results
Assist project management with configuration control of project documentation
Development of test procedures including working with various organizations across JSC for flight certification of hardware
Develop presentations as needed
Work in a team environment and report to the team lead to provide status on progress, issues, and needed support
Perform other duties as required
Here’s What You’ll Need:
This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school
Experience with design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of hardware
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a hardware development field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, and design software and tools
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school, or MS degree from an accredited engineering school, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school
Previous experience in designing and building unique hardware
Previous experience with NASA JSC policies and procedures
Previous assembly and testing experience

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
