We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager/Facilities Engineer to join the team with JETS II Teammate company, Aerodyne Industries, Inc.
The selected candidate:
Serve as the primary interface between onsite contractors, subcontracted vendors, and NASA providing facility requirements.
Perform project management of facility projects to include work procedures for task execution, tracking and management of schedule, risk, budget, and status reporting to contractor and NASA management.
Be responsible for overall project delivery, and management of the project development from conception through completion.
Plan, establish, maintain, and regularly update a project schedule on assigned projects.
Manage and provide construction oversight and resolve complex construction project related issues.
Provide oversight of facility maintenance, upgrades, test buildups, lab buildups, and operational support for all electrical and mechanical systems in lab and cleanroom facilities.
Provide technical requirements for facility modifications working with lab managers and then develop statements of work for contract services.
Attend meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and discuss present issues and status.
Participate in project kick-off and close-out process, administer all required paperwork for assigned projects.
Develop and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Utilize engineering background to develop requirements for new facility infrastructure for new labs and new equipment.
Coordinate with design firms on requirements and drawing reviews providing comments and act as a liaison for lab managers to provide feedback.
Be creative and innovative in the pursuit of solutions.
Perform other duties as required.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Requisition Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years' relevant engineering experience outside of degree coursework.
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team including scientists and engineers to develop facility requirements, troubleshoot laboratory facility problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and modern project management tools.
Good oral and written communication skills and excellent teamwork is required.
Must be able to present to all levels of management to both internal and external customers.
Knowledge and experience with design and construction of facility projects and cleanrooms.
Requisition Preferences:
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school.
Previous experience and knowledge working within the NASA/JSC systems and with onsite contractor (PAE) and external vendors / contractors is highly preferred.
Electrical engineering background to review drawings for infrastructure projects to support buildings and labs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pressure systems.
Experience writing project statement of work and task specification documents.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
