Your Impact:

In this role, the Roadway Design EIT will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of Roadway design assignments, subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company. The Roadway Design EIT will work on a variety of tasks pertaining to transportation projects.

Work expectations:

  • Research design options and document findings

  • Prepare roadway plans, detail drawings and project specifications

  • Review roadway plans, performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations and utility research and coordination

  • Coordinate project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group

  • Research design options and document findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers

  • Assist with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers

  • May attend kick-off and design review meetings, and interact with clients as his or her level of experience progresses

  • Have a strong oral and writing communication skills

  • Have strong organization skills and multi-tasking ability

  • Have strong analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Have a team-oriented attitude

  • Perform quantity calculations

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required

  • EIT certificate preferred

  • 0-5 years’ experience in roadway design preferred

  • Microstation Experience preferred

  • Power Geopak Modeling experience preferred

  • Experience in utilizing computer programming to solve engineering problems

  • Ability to assemble plan set meeting client expectations

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
