We have the unique and significantrole to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center (JSC), to be part of everyhuman spaceflight program – the International Space Station (ISS), NASA’s Orionspacecraft, which will carry astronauts into deep space, and Gateway, theorbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back andforth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep spaceexploration. From critical systems onthe ISS to enable astronauts to live and work in space; to performing advanceddevelopment for systems leading to deep space exploration; to being part of thefoundation for Gateway.
We also partner with NASA at JSC,the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samplesreturned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbitaldebris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of theorigins of our solar system.

We are currently in need of a Software Engineer - Lunar Systems tojoin our team. Do you have the following skills?
As a Software Engineer - Lunar Systems you will:
Design and implement software for design,development, test, and certification of a lunar soil analysis system.
Gather and analyze requirements.
Design and develop data acquisition systemsfor test rigs.
Test and debug software issues.
Coordinate test activities and requirementswith NASA test facilities.
Support test setup and execution.
Develop testing and operations documentation.
Coordinate software development with otherdisciplines.
Participate in multi-disciplinary technicalreviews.
Perform other duties as required.

BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineeringschool.
Experience with data acquisition and processing.
Experience with NI LabVIEW for system control, system test, data storageand analysis.
Experience with C/C coding in a Linux environment.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
Familiarity with NASA/JSC organizations,processes, and procedures.
Prior experience with spaceflight systemdevelopment.
Experience with robotic systems.
Experience with system interface requirements.
Experience with common communicationprotocols (RS232, RS422/485, 1553, USB).
Knowledge of web application frameworks suchas ASP.NET
