We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Security Compliance Engineer to join the team with our Information Technology Division.
Sr Security Compliance Engineer will: Lead in in acquiring new business security certifications (DFAR, CMMC) and play a very active role in developing new System Security Plans and write Implementation Details for NIST security controls. Regularly Audit network/IT environment for compliance to Policy.
Document all outstanding remediation's and mitigation activities. Assist in development of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and compliance.
Assist with POA&M management, mitigation statement formulation, interfacing with system administrators to resolve open findings of high- and at-risk systems.
Perform other duties as required
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and normally possess 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Solid understanding of OSI and Network Topologies.
Experience with management of various layer 2 and layer 3 devices (switches, routers, firewalls) of the network. Solid understanding of information systems security standards/practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, patch management, and incident handling).
Experience with the analysis of underlying technologies that form the solution necessary for the application of threat identification analysis.
Experience with a wide variety of vulnerability identification tools (ie BigFix, Nessus). In depth knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls as well as NIST 800-171 controls.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent
CISSP, 5+ years of professional information security/security engineering/software development experience and at least 2 years of professional vulnerability management experience

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).

Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside the normal schedule and adjust the schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
