Perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design (wind and seismic). Apply required provisions of the building code. Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work. As a lead structural engineer for an assigned small or medium project or sub-lead/area lead on a medium or large project. Lead a team of structural engineers and designers in the development of calculations, specifications, construction drawings, and the structural model. Fully understand all structural scope, recognize how that scope is both generated and impacted by other disciplines, and identify scope change. Develop and manage schedule, budget, and staffing forecasts for the structural scope. AttendPerform all conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design (wind and seismic). Participate in and champion internal, cross-discipline, and external project quality reviews. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and/or mentorship to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers. Be proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline; embrace emerging technologies. Take responsibility for managing workload, make and keep commitments, and take full ownership of assigned work. project meetings and take an active role to help team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines. Telecommuting allowed

Here’s what you’ll need :

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structural Engineering) and 8 years of work experience in Structural Engineering.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: expertise/ knowledge of: Seismic design, deep foundation systems, industrial systems design, vibration analysis, wind design, snow load design.

Must possess Professional Engineer (PE) license.
