Jacobs Global Construction, Maintenance and Turnaround (CMT) group is a premier provider of construction, maintenance and capital project solutions. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand and be capable of interpreting contract language

  • Develop subcontract strategies, create RFP and subcontract templates

  • Supervise site subcontract staff

  • Manage commercial aspects of the subcontracts in the field from inquiry through award, execution and close out of subcontracts

  • Establishing proposed bidders list and performing complete pre-qualification activities, issuing inquiry packages, evaluation of bid/proposals and developing the recommendation for award document

  • Liaison with the legal group when negotiation activities are required

  • Ensure correct commercial and technical content of each inquire and subcontract award

  • Develops and distributes ‘Conformed Subcontracts’ following award

  • Negotiate change orders and other commercial oriented matters through closeout

  • Maintain proper files on all pre-award and post award documentations

  • Oversee activities of multiple subcontracts on project sites

Qualifications

  • 12 years of Senior Level Subcontract Administration Management

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Strong skills in change order negotiation; back-charge/insurance recovery; claim mitigation/early dispute resolution, subcontract close out and warranty turnover

  • Efficient in Microsoft Office and database programs

  • Knowledge of Prolog; a plus

Position may be based in the Gulf Coast Region, not specifically Houston.
