In the Federal Solutions Building & Infrastructure group, we are comprised of architects, planners, engineers, as well as endless specialty services to support our clients and projects.

We’re seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Huntsville, AL, As a member of our team, you will provide essential civil engineering support and be self-motivated, well organized, and customer focused. This position will be part of an established architecture and engineering team on an owner’s representative program supporting a federal client.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review plans, design documents, and construction documents for compliance with applicable regulations and local codes and ordinances.

  • Submit technical comments in required format, which will be provided.

  • Provide written comments and concerns on any design submissions, construction documents, bulletins, and submittals

  • Author Statements of Work (SOWs), cost estimates, and designs to provide engineered solutions to a myriad of civil engineering tasks, for example roadway and pavement design, site drainage and stormwater management plans, sanitary sewer and water distribution, erosion control, etc

*Perform construction administration duties, such as reviewing and answering RFIs,reviewing submittals, reviewing and producing field reports, walking the site and verifying accuracy and compliance of construction with drawings and POR requirements, participating in creation and closeout of punch-list, and more.

*Able to multitask and take on multiple projects or assignments simultaneously.

*Collaborate and assist in resolving critical and possibly controversial issues with a multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers and federal agency clients.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Qualifications - External

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering

  • US - DOD Security Clearance

  • At Least 10 years of experience on site development projects including project design

  • PE Registration in at least one US state

  • United States Citizenship

  • Strong background in plan production and project execution

  • AutoCAD, Civil 3d design experience  

  • Experience with Bluebeam software
