The Safety Specialist coordinates and monitors safety programs to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, company and client policies and procedures.
Support HSE in the area of Specialized Manufacturing.
Investigates accidents to determine causes; prepares reports of investigations for use in recommendation of preventive measures and the development of safety programs
Provides technical safety training (i.e. Beyond Zero)
Assesses safety and health program performance; identifies trends through data analysis.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, concepts in the field.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Works with limited direction.
Determines and develops approach to solutions.
Able to support field activities for assignments that typically last one year or more.
Maintain PPE supplies (ordering, performing fall protection equipment inspections)
Perform tracking, trending and reporting of safety incidents/ hours.
Review health and safety plans (HASAPS)
5 to 10 years of Safety experience
BA/ BS in Occupational Safety or equivalent
Proficient in MS Office
Must be able to walk large job sites on foot.
Lift/ carry 40 pounds.
Spend long periods of time working outside.
Climb ladders and stairwells.
May be required to wear respiratory equipment and/ or personal fall arrest system, in addition to standard PPE (hard hat, vests, steel toed boots and hearing protection).
