Jacobs is hiring for a Sr. Data Scientist to join our team in Huntsville, AL!

The Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing data, performing ETL and resolve/work with Big Data.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Minimum Years of Experience:

10 years of experience with scripting languages, such as Python, used in support of development and production operations

10 years of experience analyzing and reporting on large datasets

Minimum 6 years of experience with a technology such as Apache Hive or Apache Pig and distributed processing platforms such as Apache Spark or MapReduce and experience working in the Hadoop ecosystem and experience working with a nosql database such as MongoDB or Accumulo.

Experience with the following tools/technologies:

• Apache Airflow Experience

• Big Data in Cloud

• ETL engineer background

• Data Pipeline experience

• Substantial database experience is a must.

• 10+ years of data experience

• SQL and MySQL is a must

• NoSQL/non-relational database such as HBase

• Direct AWS EMR experience

• Python SME

Responsible for analyzing production data which will lead to the program choosing right-fit technology solutions

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

Clearance: Active Top Secret with ability to obtain a POLY
