Your Impact:

Jacobs is looking for a Test Engineer II to support its federal client program onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test cases, test plans and test strategies

• Must be able to develop test Data and perform data validation on a large complex system

• Record test results and generate test reports in JIRA

• Help developers to reproduce and debug issues if necessary

• Conduct validation of defects in testing environments

• Analyze user reported issues and document the issues in JIRA

• Communicate issues and status to team and management

Nice to have:

Technical experience in test automation would also be plus, while possessing DevOps or Continuous Delivery experience would be beneficial.

Here’s What You’ll Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

  • Experience with integrating test automation frameworks into a CI/CD pipeline

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with development and scripting languages Excellent communication skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with test automation tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Selenium or Junit

  • Must be able to learn the new applications and workflow quickly

  • Experience working in the client space and working directly with clients

  • Participate and contribute to Agile ceremonies such as Pi planning, Daily Scrum, Retrospective, Sprint end demos, test estimation, backlog grooming etc.

  • Review Epics, stories and product specifications and provide feedback from the testability perspective

  • Analyze requirements and identify gaps

  • Familiar with Confluence

  • Must be able to conduct backend testing using database queries

  • Must be familiar with Jason, XML and API testing

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft teams

  • Must be able to collaborate and communicate with the large cross functional team

  • Experience testing in different testing environments such as demo, staging, integration, and preproduction

  • Experience conducting different type of testing such as smoke testing Integration testing, regression testing, system testing, Integration testing using API, user acceptance testing (UAT), and end to end testing and interface testing
