Join the Project Management Team in a senior leadership role on a large nuclear capital project (>3B) for a mission critical spent fuel handling facility supporting our nation’s naval nuclear program. The project is currently in the procurement and construction phase. The Project Manager Plans, coordinates, and reports on all functional areas, focusing on engineering and construction work for the Spent Fuel Handling Project to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters within nuclear operations and engineering. Here’s what you’ll need :

  • This position requires a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility in managing design and construction projects

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to take complex information and condense to provide reporting that effectively communicates at all levels both internally and within the client organization.

  • Experience in multi-discipline construction projects, with multiple subcontractors.

  • Demonstrated experience in cross-coordination and integration across package managers/Controlled Account Managers.

  • Demonstrated experience in Project Controls/Variance Reporting, and monthly project reporting, with a full understanding of EVMS requirements in accordance with EIA-748 guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 program is preferred.

  • Experience in DOE Earned Value Management System

  • Strong knowledge of CPM Scheduling techniques (P6) and reporting

  • Working knowledge of DCRM requirements, per NQA-1

  • PMP certification

  • Experience on large DOE nuclear projects.

  • Q or L clearance or eligibility to obtain a “Q” or “L” is preferred

  • PE license with ability to obtain a PE in Idaho highly preferred

  • Sole USA Citizenship is required.

  • Experience with DOE interface and regulatory responsibilities

  • Current or former US security clearance

  • A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office

On-Site Security training is mandatory before performing project duties.
