Jacobs Entry Level Design Architecture Professional in Indianapolis, Indiana

We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Entry Level Design Architecture Professional to grow with our team.

As a Design Architecture Professional on our team in Indianapolis, Indiana, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities - from early feasibility studies, to production of detail design documents, to technical assistance during construction.

We are looking for someone who can support our Jacobs Architecture Leads and Subject Matter Experts in developing feasibility studies, concept designs, and masterplans. A person who has excellent BIM skills including being able to prepare 3D visualization images to facilitate client decision making. We also want someone who is able to take design concepts and continue through with the necessary construction documentation, as well as coordinate with in-house engineering disciplines.

Required -

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher-level degree from an accredited Architecture school.

  • 0-2 years of applicable professional experience.

  • Proficiency in Revit, and SketchUp. Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Technical knowledge related to the development of construction documents in Revit.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred -

  • Previous internship experience in Architecture.

  • Familiarity with 3D visualization tools.

  • Strong graphic presentation skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications.

  • Construction administration experience.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks in support of multiple ongoing projects running concurrently.

  • Ability to coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team structure.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to contribute to the development of new ideas, techniques, and standards.

  • Experience with the implementation of the project process including programming, space planning, conceptual design, design development, and construction documents.

  • Ability to communicate visually and verbally with team members and clients.
