Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer, is a critical role for continued excellence in the work our technical teams produce for our clients. This role is responsible for providing mentorship and leadership to the electrical discipline.
This person is responsible for the following in his/her office or area of responsibility.
Safety: Promote an Injury free, healthy, and safe workplace
Quality: Ensure discipline and project standards/templates/tools are used and maintained, and discipline QNQC processes are followed. Provide and facilitate training for staff.
Staff Management & Design Excellence:
Identifying staffing needs and recruit talent
Assign staff to projects, ensure staff balancing and workload leveling within the department and on projects. Coordinate with other line of business managers globally for work-share opportunities. Promote use of global delivery centers. Utilize resource planning tools.
Ensure staff is delivering to scope, schedule, budget, and monitor change through regular check-ins with project leads. Understand the technical status and issues with all projects in the office/area of responsibility and address with Project Manager as required.
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, ensure skill and expertise is aligned with strategic goals.
Provide performance reviews for staff being mentored and led.
Assist with pursuit staffing and execution strategies.
Coordinate with other office leaders to implement new tools and technologies. Identify and implement methods to improve efficiency.
Strategic Planning: Work with Engineering Manager to align longer-term strategies for staffing levels, skill development and technical capabilities required for future success.
Communication: Ensure that staff have an understanding of the line of business strategy, and how their activities are relevant. Pass up communication of challenges and team needs for improved success. Effective communication is a critical aspect of this role.
Support Community involvement: Professional community/organizations
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
15 years' Electrical Engineering Industry experience:
design of building electrical systems
application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and applicable local building/specialty codes
Professional Engineering License
Working knowledge and experience with:
Medium and low voltage power system design
Large UPS/generator system design o Lighting system design
Grounding system design
Heat trace and vessel system heating design
Able to lead and train staff
Work collaboratively to achieve overall project delivery goals.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong organizational and communication skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
15 years' Electrical Engineering experience in advanced manufacturing facilities or pharmaceutical facilities
Engineering leadership experience
