As a Jacobs Electrical Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be a flexible member of a growing team doing a wide range of projects.

Working with our other engineers from all disciplines, you’ll assist with design package production, electrical design schematics to construction documents, and specifications writing. You will get to meet with clients, and work closely with senior staff and management to deliver world class service to our clients. You should have the ability to evaluate, select, and apply advanced engineering techniques and procedures. You will be responsible for electrical design services of systems in areas of power distribution, lighting for municipal projects, such as water and wastewater treatment plants, and industrial projects.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university and

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and design

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good writing skills and experience preparing technical specifications and reports.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Professional Engineering License for the State for California, or qualified to obtain it

  • Experience with infrastructure projects

  • Construction site experience

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Bentley Microstation/AECO Sim, AutoCAD, Revit

  • Standby diesel generator sizing programs using on-line sizing tools

  • Power system design (load flow, short circuit study) software such as PTW or ETap

  • Lighting design software (AGI32) with interior and exterior lighting design experience

  • Experience with the National Electrical Code
