We're looking for a Senior Construction Manager to be based in the Southern California Area who is excited about working on projects supporting our clients’ business and business practices. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on construction projects including ports, rail, roads, bridges, rapid transit, tunnels, aviation, water, wastewater, as well as industrial and commercial facilities.

You’ll be accountable for leading a team of construction professionals managing a number of construction activities related to on-dock rail program construction management support to include project management, utility coordination, environmental compliance, scheduling support, estimating, rail inspection, claims resolution and contract management.

You will be expected to work with clients, other construction managers, and contractors utilizing your knowledge and expertise of construction practices to include oversight of day-to-day activities. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our teams achieve our client’s objectives. Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline

  • 15 years of proven experience in Construction Management working on rail and railyard projects.

  • Proven experience with intermodal railyard construction in port facilities

  • Experience with utility relocation and utility coordination with service providers.

  • Total understanding with California environmental regulatory agencies and permit compliance.

  • Perform calculations using algebra, trigonometry and geometry.

  • Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Registered Professional Engineering Licensed in the state of California.

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification.

  • Relevant port CM experience.

Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

Typical salary range for this position is $121,300 - $190,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
