On a high-level, you will be joining us to develop life-changing and, in many cases, life-saving process solutions for our clients. This includes but is not limited to:
Developing process flow diagrams to define heat and material balance.
Establishing a process design basis, developing process options and optimization of selected design.
Designing and creating Process& Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Preparing bid and purchase specifications for processing equipment (e.g. chromatography columns, pressure vessels, bioreactors, filtration skids).
Calculating loads for Clean Utilities, line sizing, and distribution design (e.g. water for injection, clean steam, process gases).
Participating in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned project.
Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
Calculating and organizing data for other Jacobs disciplines, such as instrument data for I&C or electrical loadings.
Performing routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under supervision.
Work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy by a Senior Engineer.
Candidates should be self-motivated professionals in their junior year or higher in college and pursuing an applicable engineering major from an accredited university
Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this industry
Microsoft Office experience required; AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus
2-5 years of experience required
BS or MS in chemical/mechanical/bio- engineering required
