We are looking for a driven and curious Field Representative to grow with our team.

As a Field Representative you will be responsible for technical and administrative work related to the construction of mid-range to larger scale and more complex School District projects. In this role, you will be part of the Client’s Program management team and work in their office supporting the Project Manager(s) managing school projects. Roles will include field observations of the projects from the start of construction through occupancy. The position responsibility also includes monitoring of progress and performance of contractors and the review of pay applications and change orders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing contract documents, shop drawings and related construction documents.

  • Conducts on-site observations during the construction phase.

  • Prepares observation and project meeting reports.

  • Attends assigned meetings along with the PM to cover weekly job progress meetings.

  • Review of payment applications and change orders.

  • Monitors the construction schedules and reports on progress.

  • Assists in the preparation of punch list and closeout documentation.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GRE plus five (5) years of experience at a construction superintendent level or higher or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and construction quality practices.

  • A thorough knowledge of materials, methods, principles and practices used in the construction trades.

  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications and the ability to recognize deviations from such plans in the construction process.

  • Ability to create and submit clear and concise reports in a timely method.

  • Understanding of construction schedules and payment applications.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Architects, Contractors, Engineers, school personnel and the public.

  • Understanding and some skill level with estimating in order to develop simple estimates for changes.
