As the Commercial/Contracts Manager, you will have full autonomy over the post contract administration of the project which includes but not limited to the evaluation of contractor interim progress payment application and the certifying of same, change management, cost reporting and processing contractor’s claims. The importance of the position is clearly demonstrated as it forms part of the senior leadership team, where you will have responsibility for the contract and commercial management supported by a team of staff.
This is a great opportunity to share your knowledge, develop and mentor the team, attend senior management meetings with the Client as the point of contact for all commercial and contractual matters on the project. You will be assessing contractual implications of issues as they arise and provide direction to the package delivery teams; managing claims, advising on all aspects of contractual claims whilst implementing procedures to recognize and identify claims as they evolve, manage timely resolution under the change provisions where possible and obtain legal expertise as appropriate. Your key objective is maintaining best practice and preventing any issues or work that doesn’t meet the requirements of the Contract.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in contract formation and administration on airport projects. You must be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and client relationship skills. Experience in the GCC region and MRICS preferred but not essential.
