Jacobs Telecom Team is looking to a RF Engineer role for our King of Prussia office. This position will play an essential role in the process of understanding customer needs,translating them into requirements and formulating affordable solutions.
5 years’ experience designing and planning 4G/5G wireless networks at operators or large OEMs
Must maintain andenforce the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety program by ensuring daily jobsite safetyplans are reviewed and followed, and work is stopped when unsafe practices orconditions exist.
Knowledge of 3GPP RAN architecture, RF design tools, scripting languages, and databases.
Requires an in-depth understanding of the details surrounding Radio Frequency (RF) network design capacity planning optimization and performance engineering.
Experience working with various networks such as UMTS CDMA WCDMA LTE; and extensive experience with data collection tools and post-processing tools like ACTIX WindCatcher etc.
Must have project management and report writing abilities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
5 years of experience as RF Engineer required
5 years of telecom/wireless industry experience required
Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft experience required
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting,walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, andlifting. Hand manipulation is requiredfor grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or lefthands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as belowthe shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel,will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasionalneed to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk onuneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes intemperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
