Description

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside a team of other Technicians and Engineers to ensure that the project work is completed within its time period.

  • Producing / updates Civil Engineering CAD drawings, details and steel reinforcement schedules on Rail project.

  • Preparing and developing existing/new models and drawings in MicroStation.

  • Document and drawing version management in-line with Project and Company procedures.

  • Responsible for own activities to agreed timescales, where you will be able to demonstrate your ability to plan and manage the work of yourself within the defined scope of a small task or activity.

  • Project administration, such as spreadsheet work, maintaining orderly drawing registers and records of incoming and outgoing drawings.

  • Sending and receiving data electronically.

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in CAD would be beneficial.

  • Previous experience of rail or multi-disciplinary large infrastructure projects would be good.

  • Excellent knowledge of Bentley SoftwareSuite such as Projectwise, MicroStation and other relevant CAD software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with design teams.

  • Good technical and IT abilities, including experience of Microsoft Office software and video conference software.

  • Good English skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working with 3D LIDAR to develop earthworks, embankments models in 3D.

  • Experience in creating buildings and associated ancillaries in 3D.

  • Experience in developing 2D and 3D Civil Engineering drawings showing plan, elevations and cross sections by referencing 3D models using Projectwise/MicroStation interface.

  • Experience in producing typical construction details by using views generated by 3D models.

  • Experience of Reinforced Concrete detailing would be good.
