Environmental Engineer

Description

A highly motivated EnvironmentalEngineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with environmentalinvestigations, contaminated land characterisation, soil and groundwater remediationand project management is sought. Experience with multi-national corporations is an asset and goodinterpersonal skills and international experience are requirements. Successfulcandidates will be educated to degree or post-graduate level in a relevant science,geosciences, engineering or environmental technical subject.

Fluent spoken and written Englishis mandatory. Clients and team are international and working knowledge of otherlanguages is also beneficial. The candidate should have solid experiencecontributing to groundwater monitoring plans, environmental site investigationsand contaminated land remediation projects in Poland.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities withinthe role will include the ability to provide support to projects in the fieldof environmental site investigation/characterization, remediation design andconstruction, working in the field as well as to data managing, reporting, anddesign tasks.

The successful candidatemust have initiative, energy, enthusiasm and commitment and be flexible in workapproach . Some travel to project sites and meeting would be required,though the primary work location will be Krakow or Warsaw.

Qualifications

Good people skills, ability to work remotely with project teams, experience with multi-national clients and contaminated land and soil and groundwater remediation plus the following attributes:

  • Educational background in a science, geosciences, environmental or engineering related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of related project experience

  • Direct experience related to contaminated site characterization and remediation techniques

  • Understanding of Human health risk assessment and risk-based decision making with a focus on sustainability will be an asset

  • Proven experience in the application of national and regional environmental legislation in Poland

  • Awareness of main field H&S topics and procedures

  • Fluent spoken and written English is required;

  • Ability and willingness to periodically travel and support work at project sites (up to approximately 30%)

  • Good communication and team work skills.
