Jacobs Financial Analyst (Real Estate Operations) in Krakow, Poland

Your Impact:

This position supports Global Real Estate Operations (REO) for both general ledger (Oracle) and financial analysis (PBCS and ManagePath). The work will support transaction level entries such as impairments of Fixed Assets in Impaired/Abandoned offices and will coordinate with the regional Financial Analysts and Manager or Director of Real Estate. General responsibilities include utilizing data from corporate and department systems and preparing reports for the on-going routine and ad hoc reporting requirements ensuring that data is accurate, complete, timely and supports the REO business needs fully. This position will liaise with other data-related teams such as FP&A, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, or other Corporate Functions groups supporting planning/forecasting/recording/reporting from PBCS and/or Oracle.

This Financial Analyst will prioritize REO Director/Manager of Finance required analytics and reporting and will support the GBS Lease team (transaction-level, Oracle) as workflow permits. Accounting and/or Finance background is essential. This role provides a springboard to more advanced financial roles within Jacobs due to the ability to be involved in all aspects of our global department's reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine and ad hoc analysis of financial data - plan/forecast to actual, trends, multiple time periods, G&L categories or accounts, regions, etc including summary variance analysis. The work may include preparing PBCS system templates for comment input by Regional Financial Analysts to support variance explanations

  • Strategic initiative reporting and financial analysis for REO office impairments/abandonments including ROU and FA impairment/subleasing activity/cash flow impacts/office utilization/other office metrics/ SOX controls

  • Support REO Annual Business Plan, Forecast and QFR processes at office/region/global level with preparation of data and/or PowerPoint slide presentations

  • Support transaction level review and GL reporting to support the work performed by any of the regional Financial Analysts. (back-up assistance)

  • Prepare key real estate reports, such as the Office Data Report (ODR)

  • Other reporting ad hoc requests.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Experience in an FP&A or Finance type role or significant GL experience

  • Experience with ERP accounting systems (Oracle R12 preferred)

  • Understanding of US GAAP lease accounting

  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • English skills that allow to communicate fluently in every situation

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to proactively interpret financial data to make recommendations

  • This position may require some limited shift work to coordinate availability during crunch periods (typically planning/year-end and quarter close).
