Global Mobility – US Domestic Assignments Support

Our Global Delivery Center (GDC) engineers collaborate on the design and delivery of local and global projects in the fields of engineering, design and construction.

Our Global Business Services (GBS) colleagues provide global support and expertise in the fields of Accounting, Procurement, IT, HR and Graphic Design

Working with the Global Mobility group, Mobility Operations plays a critical role in the support and administration of domestic and international relocations and assignments within and to locations throughout the world.

Mobility Operations provides ongoing administrative support to those internal and external partners supporting our mobile workforce inclusive of relocation/assignment documentation, immigration, visas, statutory requirements, benefits, coordination with outside vendors, allowances, and issue resolution.


  • Responsible for data entry and updating "Topia" system (assignment management tool) on a regular basis with employee and dependent mobility information (passports, assignment documents; etc.).

  • Own data integrity for the Topia system inclusive of review data entered and taking appropriate actions.

  • Responsible for the integrity and validity of the data in the Topia system.

  • Responsible for generating US domestic assignment agreements through Topia system.

  • Processes requests/documents related to a mobile workforce, and updates systems while ensuring efficient delivery of customer service to all Team Members and compliance with Jacobs's mobility and US domestic mobility policies.

  • Respond to employees’ and stakeholders’ queries, ensuring a full understanding of the issues and needs to ensure effective resolution.

  • Generate cost estimates in support of bids and domestic assignments within US to help establish accounting accruals.

  • Participate in lessons learned meetings when there are service failures or unexpected results.

  • Ensures high-quality standards for all activities, initiatives, and tasks within the designated functional area(s) of responsibility.

  • Responds to questions on standard, administrative procedures and practices via multiple channels (e.g., e-mail, phone, case management system).

  • Collaborates effectively with others (i.e. HR delivery partners) in order to execute tasks and fulfill key deliverables.

  • Provides continuous status updates, guidance, and information to customers, key stakeholders, and peers within the HR functional area team(s) to ensure case resolution.

  • Provides feedback and recommends process improvements to management.

  • Proficiency in English (written, spoken, comprehension) required

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Aptitude with numbers required

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business results

  • Preferred prior experience working with a mobile workforce, such as internationally or domestically relocating assignees

  • Preferred prior experience within HR Shared Services environment
