Jacobs Public Proposals Specialist (W/M/X) - Engineering Industry in Krakow, Poland

For our Global Design Center (GDC) that provides global support for our projects in such areas as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Water Treatment, Transport Planning and many others, we are looking for a Public Proposals Specialist, who will lead or support a variety of business development assignments, ranging from strategic proposals to smaller qualification statements and letters of interest.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the coordination and preparation of small to medium proposals (including pricing and documentation), working directly with technical staff (may support large, strategic pursuits under the guidance of senior Sales staff)

  • Supporting our Client Account Managers and Operations Leaders in the Sales process activities

  • Leading proposal kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings

  • Preparing and ensuring compliant and timely proposal deliverables by managing self and proposal team, and meeting client requirements

  • Coordinating, writing, editing/tailoring, and performing research for non-technical proposal sections (without supervision); ensuring compliance; identifying, communicating, and mitigate potential issues/variances

  • Coordinating/providing direction to graphic designers, publishing technicians, editors, reprographics specialists, and other support staff; coordinating with and collecting information from teaming partners and subconsultants

  • Supporting planning and development of presentations and interviews of all sizes

  • Serving as a subject matter expert and following set procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as Branding Guidelines

Here’s What You’ll Need:


  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Proven 2 years’ (at least) experience in a similar role (preferably in a big Engineering company)

  • Familiarity with Polish Public Procurement Law

  • Fluent English and Polish skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to read and analyze bid and project documentation

  • Ability to prepare pricing and documentation for bid purposes (proposals)

  • Organization and leadership skills to manage challenging opportunities

  • Ability to prioritize and communicate what is most important for the success of the business

  • Discipline to work remotely with teams in different time zones

  • Strong capability in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM system will be a plus
