Within theLearning & Talent Management organisation we have an opportunity as SeniorManager for the Learning & Talent Management organisation in Europe andMiddle East.

Purpose of therole:

The role has fourcritical dimensions which are essential for success:

  • Responsible for implementation of the global Learning & Talent Management (L&TM) strategy and programs in the region

  • Responsible for capturing regional needs for L&TM services and identify and implement programmes and initiatives to meet these needs within the framework of the Jacobs talent strategy built on the foundation of inclusion and diversity

  • As member of the Global leadership team for L&TM organisation, contribute to the development and management of the global L&TM service portfolio and be the voice of Europe and Middle East in this work

  • Lead and further grow the regional team of Learning and Development professionals based on the Jacobs values not least inclusion and diversity.

Organisationalrelations:

The role reportsto the Director HR Delivery Europe and Middle East.

A team of sixLearning & Development professionals across the region report to the SeniorManager role along with other employees embedded in the operationsorganisation. The team includes L&TM partners, programme managers andadministrators.

The role is a memberof the leadership team for the global L&TM organisation.

Key stake holders include:

  • Executives for the Lines of Business in the region and their HR Business Leaders

  • Country HR Delivery Managers in the region and their teams

  • Global COE leads for Talent Management, Talent Development and Inclusion & Diversity

  • Peers in similar roles in Americas and APAC.

Specific responsibilities:

  • As part of the global leadership team for the L&TM organisation ensure that the global programmes and strategies are implemented in the region

  • Act as feedback “voice of the region” in the global leadership team and influence the development of future L&TM services to cater for the specifics of the region

  • Consult with Business Leaders and their HR Leaders to understand their people development and talent management priorities

  • Ensure that professional development programmes are aligned to business growth, retention and skills gaps, and fully align with the Jacobs talent strategy

  • Provide guidance to Business Leaders and their HR Leaders on cost effective development solutions and evaluation approaches

  • Identify a range of development programmes for graduates, professionals and leadership suitable for multiple delivery mechanisms

  • Provide advice to employees, managers and mentors on development programmes and opportunities for career progression

  • Produce management reports including data pulled from our Learning Management System

  • Represent and promote the company at external boards and networking events with clients, industry sector companies, training associations, education providers and professional bodies

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

  • Masters degree in relevant field or MBA degree desired

  • Significant experience in a global L&TM role

  • A demonstrable track record of professional progression in comparable roles with global companies

  • Relevant international experience in leadership development, team development, career progression at all levels, organisational development and talent management

  • Significant experience with people management in an international context

  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment highly desirable.

Job SpecificKnowledge and qualifications:

  • Understand how professional services and engineering companies deliver value to clients, employees and shareholders. Insight into what drives profitability and increases growth in the industry. Demonstrated experiences linking learning and development and talent management processes to value added business results is a high priority

  • Demonstrated advisory experience at executive levels regarding learning and development matters; the ability to influence at all levels is important

  • Proven ability to build trust and confidence with diverse stakeholders in complex environments

  • Proven results of successful implementation and ongoing management of learning and development and talent management policies and processes in a complex multinational organisation

  • Proven successful capabilities delivering leadership workshops, team charter sessions and similar initiatives

  • Able to work with ambiguity, coach and assist business leaders to navigate through uncertainty, make difficult decisions and lead and manage others in changing business conditions

  • Strong commercial acumen with exceptional analytical, written, interpersonal skills and attention to detail skills

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (English) with previous experience in writing formal documents for Executive teams
