We are currently looking for a Senior Permanent Way Design Engineer to join our office in Krakow.

Jacobs provides a full passenger and freight consultancy service to the rail sector from its network of offices across the UK. The comprehensive range of services available covers the complete spectrum of railway infrastructure requirements such as station platforms and buildings, depots, bridges, tunnels and trackside structures.

Taking the Senior Permanent Way Design Engineer role in Krakow for Rail projects would include the following activities:

  • Will be capable of assisting with the production of P Way 3D alignment designs for Feasibility, Concept, Detailed and Construction phases of a design project, including the P Way element of multi-disciplinary designs.

  • Will be responsible for originating basic alignment designs and for checking and approving designs produced by others.

  • Will be required to produce, check and approve models, drawings and design reports and associated documentation,

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Engineer in a relevant discipline including Civil, Mechanical or Railway Engineering

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant railway design experience

  • Experince of relevany software including MicroStation, ProjectWise, SD Calculator, Clear Route

  • Design management and / or Railway Civil or Track Engineering experience

  • Track safety competence

  • Ability to assist with production of technical reports.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
