Engineering Manager, Power Generation

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Power Generation team within the Malaysia and to achieve the objectives of thePower business.Primary area of focus are people and operational management duties as well as support proposals and sales activities.activities.
About the opportunity
Monitor Power Generation project performance i.e. deliver on time, on budget and meet technical requirements
Manage team workload, set priorities, and resolve conflicting project/client requirements and deadlines
Prepare resource plans based on forward pipeline and major proposals
Contribute to proposal Go/No Go decisions with primary focus on resource availability and suitability
Review and approve staff timesheets
Involvement in projects to maintain a billability target as set by the Director of Operations.
Monitor team performance against financial targets (e.g. GM/hr, billability) and report against budgets each month
Assist in monthly workbook reviews for Power Generation projects
Assist in working capital reviews for Malaysia (WIP, DSO, cash flow).
Assist in managing client relationships in partnership with the Director of Operations and relevant Sales team members.
Assist in business development activities and support the development of technical proposals for the Power Generation sector.
Support and develop client relationship skills within the team
Lead the team to deliver against agreed country and sector goals, strategies and KPIs.
Contribute to the Power & Process Leadership Team and Malaysia Leadership team.
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical or its equivalent with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience
Broad experience in power generation projects.
Knowledge of Jacobs systems, policies and procedures

Builds relationships with staff, internal leaders, and existing and potential client organizations
