Jacobs is looking for site inspector to support one of our ongoing Rail and Transit projects . This is a 12-month contract with the role based in Sepang, Selangor scheduled to a six-day week (Monday to Saturday).

This role requires the successful candidate will have 3 years of professional experience working on rail and transit projects in a technical capacity.

In addition, you will;

  • assist site Engineer in day-to-day activities including monitoring and supervision activities as detailed by him time to time.

  • Assist Engineer to prepare substantial completion reports including any outstanding requirement

  • adhere to Jacobs way of working to foster a culture for safe and vibrant work culture while simultaneously complying with Jacobs’s ethics, and code of conduct policies.

  • provide on-site surveillance of all engineering works performed by the Contractor;

  • build a trusted relationship with the client and contractor’s project team;

  • place an emphasis on safe working and a high quality of delivery;

  • monitor and report on progress, and quality and flag deviations when they occur;

  • provide status reports and routine updates to the Jacobs Project Manager;

  • attend site meetings and actively contribute towards workshops and group discussions.

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a key member of the project team, you will be expected to:

  • hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia

  • have a working knowledge of design, installation, testing and commissioning of rail and transit assets;

  • be able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings;

  • Experience in inspection and supervision activities in infrastructure, such as Rail and Transit

  • Sound report writing skills. and ability to cope with challenging situations

  • Self-motivating, reliable, consistent, and matured approach to work.

  • Strong communication skills are a must as you’ll be expected to interact with other disciplines and clients on a daily basis.
