The mid-level engineer would fulfill the role of Maritime Geotechnical Engineer on maritime engineering projects, exhibiting strong technical skills and team participation to help drive projects toward successful completion. The said engineer will report day-to-day to the Team Leader of Ports & Maritime for Malaysia and will report to the Geotechnical Director, Asia.
The work would be principally based in our design office and key responsibilities will include: Geotechnical analysis and design, data gathering and interpretation, specification and interpretation of ground investigation, FE modelling (Plaxis or similar), Calculations, Design drawings, Technical report writing, Specifications for construction and Technical presentations to clients and in-house.

The ideal candidate should have;
A relevant degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering and be able to demonstrate most of the following skills and knowledge such as ;
In-depth capability in geotechnical modelling, analysis and design of earth retaining structures (for quay walls), piles (for jetties), slope stability (for revetments, breakwaters), settlement and bearing capacity analysis (for reclamations)
Detail knowledge of relevant standards and performing and engineering calculations, preparing design drawings
