We are seeking to hire a qualified experience Systems Assurance Manager to provide expert technical advice and consultancy to internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to work across a range of activities at various stages and you will thrive on doing something different every day and be comfortable with ambiguity. You will have a strong desire to learn new things. You will be a good communicator at all levels, able to understand and decompose complexity and present it in simple terms.

  • Provide day to day support and advice on system assurance (system safety, reliability, availability, maintainability (RAM)), requirements management and related matters.

  • Develop and implement SA/SE processes for rail project delivery

  • Manage and lead SA/SE resources as Line Manager and within project frameworks.

  • Review WPC’s responses and provide support to close out the DVV Plan review comment.

  • Provide review and comments of contractors SA processes and outputs.

  • Provide support to Sales and bid activity, leading bids as required

  • Provide leadership to the SE/SA team to develop and grow the capability

  • Lead project delivery and act as Project Manager as required

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to support business growth

  • Supervises the SE /SA team

  • Liaises and coordinates with Operations colleagues, Sales, Solutions & Technology.

Key Accountabilities are;

  • Systems engineering and assurance activities across various project stages

  • Design integration

  • Reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) aspect of design and operations

  • Facilitation of risk assessments, risk controls and identification of risk controls

  • Production of safety assurance reports and safety cases

Reporting and Supervision

  • Reports to Technical Director Rail Systems (Asia)

  • Supervises project or specialist engineers (as assigned).

  • Liaises and coordinates across the business as required.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), or other suitable technical qualification and Systems Assurance related processes and procedures.

  • Member of recognized learned society and/or professional engineering association.

  • Significant relevant years of experience with systems assurance and systems engineering related activities, within the rail industry.

  • Experience working with Rail Regulatory authorities would be desirable with previous experience from a consultancy background.

  • Experience in the systems assurance delivery, and verification and validation of railway system projects including review of contractor’s design submissions.

  • Experience of developing Operational and Technical Safety Cases.

  • Experience in developing / using FMECA / RAM Modelling techniques

  • Travel flexibility is required to support and run projects across the S.E Asia region.Ability to manage stakeholder/customer relations.
