As the LeadHelp Desk L2 (Site Lead) you will provide support to users in resolving problems using help desk center tools. Additionally, for smaller P/C/S locations (work force less than 20 - approximate -), HD L2 will serve as the P/C/S Lead. Provide daily operational guidance to the P/C/S contractor personnel and oversee daily operations to include assistance in developing shift schedules. Oversee development of and recommend improvements to current common practices and procedures, lead restoration activities, and implement new elements and services. Ensure personnel have access to SOPs for all job tasks. Maintain situational awareness on major projects and personnel. Recommend new management tools and processes. Report all major issues and concerns to the Government representative.
Must be familiar with network troubleshooting, process flow, routers, switches, VMWare, security, wireless, and VoIP. Must demonstrate familiarization of applicable STIGs and DoD/Army regulations and policies.
The responsibilities of the Help Desk L2 may also include support in the areas of electronic mail, account creation and maintenance, standard desktop applications, and applications developed by the Government.

Required Education: Help desk institute training
- A minimum of four years of experience.● General experience includes background in information systems development, network operations, application performance in a client/server environment, or related fields● Specialized experience includes the management of help desks in a multi-user environment, a comprehensive understanding of PC operating systems, a working knowledge of network and electronic mail operations and prior supervision of help desk employees● The Help Desk L2 must have a demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writing and have a positive customer service attitude
DoDD 8570.01-M Baseline Certification (Security ) is required at start for all candidates
MCSA or CCNA is required within six (6) months of receiving the dual-designation of site lead.
ITIL Foundations (v3) certification is desired.
Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy and windy climates.
Work assignments vary based on client requirements.
Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Servers, switches and other computer equipment used to support network operations.
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory. Shift Work may be required to support operations. .

Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.

Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
