The 480th Intelligence Support Reconnaissance Wing (ISWR) leads the Air Force’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-AF) efforts. The DCGS-AF is the Air Force’s primary intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) planning, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and dissemination weapon system. The weapon system employs a global communications architecture that connects multiple intelligence platforms, DoD networks, and sensors. Personnel assigned to DCGS-AF produce actionable intelligence from data collected by a variety of sensors on the U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper and other ISR platforms across multiple security levels up to TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
The Maintenance Control Center (MC) Support Specialist will process and coordinate all incoming DCGS Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) requests with 480 ISRW Long Range Scheduling and/or DOC Crew Commander for approval decision ensure that all maintenance issues are documented and tracked within the 480 ISRW approved system.
Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required to include nights, weekends and holidays. Shift differential will be paid.
Modify/Cross reference requested/approved downtimes with COMPASS Scheduler
Monitor, assess, document and communicate all ASIs and system outages, to include those accomplished by third parties, impacting systems and sub-systems employed throughout the DCGS enterprise
Submit alternate routes for DISA ASIs to avoid network interruption
Seek out and provide answers on outages/degradations as requested by government
Manage MCC ticket queue to include initiating, transferring, escalating, and deescalating tickets as
Answer phone calls and liaison between DGS sites and government leadership
Attend and/or host meetings as dictated by government leadership
Prepare documentation regarding ASI and overall maintenance status of the DCGS enterprise using 480 ISRW directed systems
Annotate all events that transpired on shift via the Master Station Log (MSL) or 480 ISRW approved system
Monitor, and take action, on emails received via the MCC organizational email box
Required Education: None
Description: 3 years’ experience in a help desk environment
Description: Experience with SIEM, log analysis, vulnerability analysis and some scripting experience
Required Certification: IAT Level II
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to understand and communicate maintenance requests and actions
