Mission Statement

The 480th Intelligence Support Reconnaissance Wing (ISWR) leads the Air Force’s Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-AF) efforts. The DCGS-AF is the Air Force’s primary intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) planning, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and dissemination weapon system. The weapon system employs a global communications architecture that connects multiple intelligence platforms, DoD networks, and sensors. Personnel assigned to DCGS-AF produce actionable intelligence from data collected by a variety of sensors on the U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper and other ISR platforms across multiple security levels up to TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).

Job Description

The Network Manager provides network architecture management and data traffic routing for classified ISR data on the Wide Area Network (WAN) and its components to the DPA 24-hours-a-day, seven (7) days-a-week. The Network Manager also detects network faults and initiate troubleshooting and restoral actions for network circuits, trunks and equipment for the DPA.

Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required to include nights, weekends and holidays. Shift differential will be paid.

Typical Duties

  • Initiate and maintain trouble tickets and other logs to document these faults as well as corrective actions

  • Perform activities in support of the DOC’s PED Tasking Order (PTO) such as provisioning bandwidth between DCGS sites and the preparation and testing of circuits

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of network monitoring tools

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of troubleshooting a network

Required Education: None

Required Experience:

Years: 5

Description: Five (5) years Enterprise Network Management experience

Required Certification: Possess IAT Level II certification
