As Accountant you’ll join Jacobs’ collaborative team in Stonecrest, GA. You’ll use your strong organization skills and ability to communicate with staff at all levels to assist with meeting our client’s objectives. You’ll assist in the annual and quarterly audit process, reconcile city bank accounts, update fixed asset additions/ disposals, and record asset depreciation. You’ll also reconcile cash collections on a daily basis, review and record monthly procurement card expenses, record hotel motel excise tax accrual and revenue transfers, record motor vehicle excise tax accrual and revenue transfers, record weekly property tax revenue to general ledger, prepare work papers, and assist with general accounting questions related to job duties.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience in state or local government financial administration
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines while working with staff at all levels
Experience working with elected officials
Experience working in a public-private partnership
