About the opportunity:

Jacobs is a leading service provider in Strategic Consulting across infrastructure and construction, delivering projects at all stages from organisational set up, feasibility studies, and design, through to construction and operation. We operate across the UK and internationally supporting our clients in the delivery of through-life value.

This exciting opportunity will see you working collaboratively across two of our Practice Groups, Intelligent Asset Management & Assurance and Business Intelligence & Analytics. You will work with our clients to help them realise value from their assets, harness their data enabling them to access intelligence and make better business decisions, faster. We are seeking an individual who can integrate into our dynamic team and help us develop and deliver our Asset information consultancy offering.

In this role you will work with our clients to identify opportunities for extracting tacit information and channels for turning it into structured or unstructured data, drive continuous improvement of people, processes, technology and information and developing user migration strategies. You will develop information improvement programmes, evaluate systems and processes, identify stakeholder information needs used to support business analysis and decision-making and aligning information strategies with strategic plans and corporate objectives.

There are opportunities for all grades across various locations across the UK. We offer hybrid working, combining in person collaboration with our clients with the ability to work from home or at our offices, business needs permitting. Flexibility to travel to our clients and work overseas on short consultancy assignments from time to time may be required.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Degree qualified or comparable performance, knowledge and expertise in relevant engineering, Science, Mathematics and/or Asset/Information Management discipline.

  • Ability to identify deficiencies, provide recommendations and implement improvements in Client organisation’s people, process, procedure, systems, technology and data

  • Understanding of organisational information management processes and flow of information.

  • Experience working with a range of Asset Management Systems including Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and/or Geographic Information Systems.

  • Understanding of System Architecture.

  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with an open mind who is willing to challenge established practice.

We would be particularly interested in candidates with any of the following complementary experience:

  • Good breadth of knowledge and experience across the full scope of Asset Management (stakeholders, strategy, plans, lifecycle management, people, asset information, risk and review).

  • Understanding of Information Availability, Accessibility and Security.

  • Experience facilitating small group workshops.

  • Experience delivering innovative solutions.

  • Experience across multiple market sectors is desirable.

  • Knowledge of working in an Operational environment.
