About the Opportunity

Jacobs’ Strategic Consulting team provides strategic advisory in all phases of the business life cycle, informed by our operational knowledge and deep functional expertise. By integrating strategic and technical expertise, we support the full spectrum of client functions from executive leadership project delivery and operations.

Our Intelligent Asset Management & Assurance team works with our clients to help them realise value from their assets. Working at all levels of client organisations across multiple sectors and industries; we act as a critical friend providing strategic thinking and practical, resilient, and assured solutions that deliver whole life value. By combining traditional consultancy skills with data driven solutions we increase our clients understanding of their asset base, helping them to work smarter and realise tangible benefits.

We are looking for a Requirements Derivation, Verification and Validation Management Specialist with experience of configuring and using IBM Doors. You can expect to be working on Major Projects and Programmes in a variety of sectors. You will be responsible for:

· Supporting the requirements management process for a major programme.

· Providing expertise in the capture and development of the wider project requirements set.

· Derivation and management of requirements using DOORS process for a major programme.

· Setting up and configuring DOORS database and reporting.

· Verification and Validation management of requirements

· Owning Requirements, Verification and Validation Management plan

· The dashboard and reporting toolsets, as well as providing training to project team members on IBM DOORS.

Here’s what you’ll need :

To thrive in this role, you’ll be self-motivated, inquisitive, and willing to challenge established practice. Excellent oral and written communication skills are key, along with the ability to collaborate as a team, and across Strategic Consulting. You’ll also have:

· Proven experience in implementing DOORS configurations in a client environment.

· Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry and/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team

· Demonstrated expertise in overseeing the requirements lifecycle process as a requirements manager.

· Experience in managing dashboard and reporting toolsets within DOORS.

· Previous experience in delivering training sessions, preferably on IBM DOORS Next.

· Track record of delivering projects to time, cost quality standards across all stages of project lifecycle.

· Demonstrable experience of successfully working in/adapting the philosophy of a 'One Team' environment within an NEC contract context.

· To be able to work across diverse stakeholders.

· Significant experience in systems engineering.

· Chartered Engineer in the UK or equivalent.

Desirable

· Ability to lead projects or workstreams with support

· Experience of business development such as proposal writing or developing commercial propositions.
