About the Opportunity
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in Global Energy Transition. Our European and Global teams are growing and we’re looking for a Electrical Systems - Offshore Wind to help deliver on our growing portfolio of Energy & Power projects across Europe and the wider business.
Our Energy & Power team provides a range of services to our Transmission and Distribution and Generation clients in addition to cross-market solutions to our non-energy clients.

Responsibilities:
Play a leading role in delivery of exciting offshore / onshore wind projects focussing on HV Electrical Systems for Onshore and Offshore Substations and Networks from conception to completion.
Develop and lead the technical team to win and produce clear and concise Electrical Systems designs.
Support our Sales and Growth teams to develop relationships with existing customers in the sector, identify new opportunities and build relationships with new clients.
Represent Jacobs in opening discussions on technical aspects of our delivery.
Develop and support bids for Jacobs
Ensure all outputs are compliant with our quality, project control, safety and governance procedures.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Here is what you’ll need:
10-15 years of experience in different design stages of HV and EHV substations such as concept/feasibility, FEED / detail design, Construction Support, owner’s engineer etc.
Designs include but not limited to AIS/GIS yard/building design, protection and control room/building design and MV room/yard design, transformer/reactor’s yards design, earthing / lightning protection calcs / layouts, busbar sizing etc.
5-10 years’ experience in the offshore wind industry (HVAC or HVDC)
Conversant with pre-feasibility and feasibility stage designs for offshore wind projects including optioneering for transmission schemes, voltage levels, high level SLDs, equipment sizing etc
Previous experience to write technical reports, basis of design documents, proposal scope, estimate manhours and cost estimates for different engineering resources for all design stages.
Previous experience to write technical specifications of all major equipment of transmission substation
Sound knowledge and understanding of different utility standards and other applicable international standards in field of power engineering.
Interface with onshore civil and offshore (topside) structural designs, HV, MV and LV Cable routing for different cable installation conditions within the substation.
Previous design/engineering experience (preferably) with engineering consultants, EPC contractor, OEMs or (even with) utilities in the energy & renewables sector.
Experience in HAZID, HAZCON & HAZOP analysis and knowledge of safety in design procedures for onshore and offshore substation projects.
