We are also at the forefront of developing best practice and pragmatic approaches to the delivery of environmental assessments and consents and have extensive capability in EIA, SEA, IIA, Health and Sustainability Appraisals across the full project cycle.

We are seeking candidates with experience and enthusiasm for health and social impact assessment.

You will support our growing health and social impact team to deliver various forms of Impact Assessment including population and health assessments for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Equality Impact Assessments (EqIA) and Integrated Impact Assessments (IIA).

Our expanding project portfolio includes a variety of infrastructure projects including highways, sustainable transport, flood defences, pipelines; as well as strategies and plans for local authorities, government bodies and utilities companies.

Here’s What You’ll Need:


  • A relevant first degree and post-graduate qualification in public health (e.g. MPH) or similar relevant discipline, or equivalent level of experience


Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Ability to analyse/interpret epidemiological data and studies relating to health and the built environment

  • Ability to present quantitative and qualitative data and report to a variety of audiences such as planning and regulatory authorities and the general public

  • Understanding of HIA and public health policy and their roles in the consenting of infrastructure projects and spatial development plans

  • Understanding of issues of wider determinants of health, health inequalities, sustainable development, and how these relate to the built environment and land use planning

  • Good communication and organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams

  • A good awareness of relevant health and social impact stakeholders for planning and consenting processes

  • Desirable: Membership of Faculty of Public Health (FPH) or Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH); Registration with UK Public Health Register (UKPHR)
