Jacobsis a leading service provider in Strategic Consulting and Digital Solutions(SC&DS) across construction, delivering projects at all stages from initialstudies, design through to construction and maintenance, across the UK andinternationally.

OurBusiness Solutions team primarily consults on business performance improvementand one of our focuses for this is working with clients on the implementationof lean production management techniques (e.g. collaborative planning, lastplanner, production systems, etc).Wefunction as internal management consultants to the other Jacobs business unitsas well as outside consultants and contractors.

The Role

Wecurrently have an exciting opportunity for a Lean Consultant to join ourgrowing business, which can be based in either London or Leeds.

LeanConsultants in Jacobs typically work with clients, engineers, project managers andother project stakeholders to shape and drive projects delivery througheffective problem solving and practical application of Lean and ValueManagement concepts.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong experience in operating in a project environment with multiple stakeholders

  • An MBA or an MSc in Lean Management, Construction Management or related Project Management / Civil Engineering Discipline

  • A strong awareness of consensus building tools and techniques

  • Strong facilitation skills including excellent listening skills and the ability to empathise with project team and workshop participants

  • Excellent presentation, communication and problem solving skills

  • Strong analytical thinking ability

  • A strong foundation in Lean Management concepts in a construction or consulting engineering setting

  • Experience in leading project teams

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Scrum Master or equivalent
