What we’re looking for
We are looking for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic Motion Designer to join our Creative Solutions team, based out of our Central London office (flexible working – office and home based). You will be part of a busy and growing team, working across our lines of business, delivering motion-based solutions to help expand our digital capabilities, whilst exploring new market opportunities.
Based within the sales team, you will be responsible for helping to drive your creative thoughts and ideas through all forms of motion for internal and external clients. Working closely with our Lead Motion Designer, this is an exciting opportunity to help us shape the growth of our motion capabilities. Scope exists for you to develop your career within this role, so an appetite to learn through both internal training and self-initiative is essential.

Collaborating closely with the creative, sales and wider Jacobs team to produce a variety of animation and motion content, including explainer videos, showreels, prototyping, animated presentations, marketing campaigns, brand design, public consultation films, social media content and internal communications.
Development and preparation of creative styleframes, storyboards, proposals and motion tests.
Communicating your ideas clearly and with confidence.
Converting complex briefs into engaging animation and moving image.
Liaising directly with clients.
Adding value to existing visual communication by offering innovative design solutions that provide us with a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Keep up to date with latest visual trends and developments in the motion design/animation sector.
Be a source of creative inspiration for the wider teams.
Identify new market opportunities, through internal and external markets.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Minimum of five years motion design experience.
Fully conversant in Adobe CC core software.
Must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Highly organised and passionate about data, design and digital.
Strong eye for detail and ability to contribute creative ideas.
Able to work under tight deadlines and to prioritise design focus accordingly.
Whilst this is a local UK role, scope exists to support in other offices, both nationally and internationally.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is highly desirable.
Previous experience in working within an agency environment.
Cel animation skills a bonus.
Knowledge of Blender / 3DMax / Cinema 4D would be advantageous.
