We are looking for Senior/Principal Traffic Engineers, to join us in our London office, who arecommitted to delivering high quality design solutions.Youwill become part of a respected and ambitious team, helping to deliver marqueeprojects in London and across the UK.

Our company’sTransport Consultancy team has developed an impressive array of skills and aconsiderable track record of achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support fora wide range of traffic engineering commissions, drawing on proven experiencein a relevant area of expertise

  • Act as project manager, ortechnical lead for projects, ensuring delivery in line with budget, time andquality requirements

  • Provide mentoring and supportto less experienced staff with regard to technical skill development andday-to-day overseeing of workload

Qualifications

Essential

  • A strong technical background with demonstrableexperience in highway designof public transport / cycle / pedestrianschemes, or detailed design and implementation

  • Conversant in industrystandards - TSRGD, DMRB, Manual for Streets

  • Awareness of core processesfor scheme design and project delivery

  • Degree, preferably in anumerical subject

  • Experienced with AutoCAD, MSOffice

  • Strong numerical andanalytical skills

  • Robust written and verbalcommunication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely

  • Flexibility to manage diverseworkload, assist with new business opportunities and pro-actively keep abreastwith developments in chosen area of technical interest

  • Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary teamas well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.

Desirable

  • Experience in SafetyAssessments/Audits for traffic related schemes

  • Understanding of trafficmodelling – LINSIG/TRANSYT/VISSIM/ARCADY/PICADY

  • Familiarity with key projectcontrols with experience managing small to medium sized commissions

  • Strong sector interest withpro-active approach to keeping up-to-date with technical developments andpolicy changes

  • Experience working for local authority clients

  • Member of relevant charteredprofessional institution, preferably Chartered grade though not essential
