This position will consist of verifying validation of complex rail systems involving test plans, test specs, test reports while following IEEE standards in support of the Systems Integration team and interfacing with the Testing and Commissioning Engineer for multiple contracts supporting various program wide testing involving signal, communications, electrical equipment, ventilation and track. Reports to Program Manager-Systems or designee.
Verification and validation testing that Works have been installed in accordance with design details.
Carry out specific testing oversight and reporting activities as required.
Review requirement documentation and design documentation in support of development team.
Document and maintain records of testing procedures and results.
Assist in preparation of testing estimates as required.
Assist in the planning of testing activities in conjunction with allocated tester in charge.
Implement testing strategies, work along cross functional team including owner, contractor and supplier technical representatives.
review contractor safety plans for field testing and evaluate compliance.
Prepare reports and present testing results to stakeholders. Required to support all testing for the Program. Processing documentation, record keeping and some testing or monitoring of testing.

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electric/Electronics and/or Mechanical or Civil Track Engineering; telecommunications, computer science or similar, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience in construction management of rail systems, design, engineering, operations, testing, verification, validation, commissioning & maintenance software/hardware processes
Field experience working on or adjacent to railroad operations preferred
Knowledge of database and Rail Systems application software preferred
Strong PC computer skills w/knowledge of Expedition or similar & MS Office products (word, excel, PowerPoint) preferred
Electrical or mechanical certification, as appropriate; valid driver's license preferred
Analytical reasoning and problem solving, highly organized; communications, SCADA, building system management & control, PLCs, electrical equipment systems, fiber optic interface preferred
