Your Impact:
The successful candidate will design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping system for a variety of facility projects. Tasks include developing design calculations, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment selection and layout, ductwork and piping sizing and layout, support of project proposals, interdisciplinary coordination and participating of QA/QC process. Duties and responsibilities will also include:
Must be willing to work in a design team environment, as well as take design direction from senior-level engineers
Develop calculations, flow diagrams, and specifications
Size and layout ductwork, hydronic and plumbing piping systems
Familiar with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
Bachelor s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
Minimum five (5) years related experience.
Experience with thermal load calculation and energy modeling for mechanical systems.
Experience in calculating and sizing of mechanical equipment including AHUs, fans and pumps.
Experience in sizing and laying out ductwork and hydronic piping systems.
Must be familiar with AutoCAD.
Must have experience with Revit building information modeling software.
Professional Engineering license is a plus.
Mechanical HVAC Engineer with nuclear facility experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a computer workstation.
