At Jacobs, we’re making our world better with every environmental project, and we know the importance of accurate estimates to the success of these projects. We’re looking for an experienced Cost Estimator to prepare a wide range of estimates – from conceptual to detailed design – will support various program and project level tasks. You’ll be responsible for the preparation of cost estimates for TI and deferred maintenance projects for various County Departments and to support the Facilities Reinvestment Program. You will utilize your expertise to create estimates based on the requested scope of work, drawings, and field evaluation (where necessary). You will also review and evaluate contractor proposals for base work orders and change order requests through Job Order Contracting (JOC) program.
You will work proactively with the Project Managers to ensure RFPs include a complete detailed scope of work and to resolve any proposal issues. You’ll tap into both your creative and analytical sides in this role as you develop reports and presentations as well as analyze historical data.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
10+ years’ experience as construction estimator.
Strong applied experience with computer applications, and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
Prior experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) program
