Experienced Project Engineer
Primary Job Responsibilities
The roleof Project Engineer is a key role, being responsible for:
Co-ordinating and design activitieswithin his/her own discipline between groups in order to maintain an efficientinformation flow to fix interfaces
Assisting the Engineering Manager orProject Manager in all assigned activities, typically this shall includeassistance of the different design phases including procurement, costengineering, time scheduling, HSE, construction, pre-commissioning andcommissioning
Resolving interface problems betweenthe discipline groups within his/her area of responsibility
Ensuring that design deliverableswithin his area of responsibility are issued in accordance with the contract
Reviewing planning schedulesregularly and ensure that the detailed schedules cover the complete work scope
Keyrequirements for a Project Engineer on a project:
Fully awareness of the technicalobligations of the contract, to ensure that they are understood and implementedby the staff in his area of responsibility
Exercise all reasonable skill andjudgement in the application of Company technical, quality, safety, commercialand legal policies in his/her area of responsibility
Understanding of and complies withJacobs' Safety Policy
Understanding of the implications ofthe Health and Safety at Work Law and subsequent regulations as they affect theresponsibilities of individuals, sub-contractors and Jacobs
Fully comprehension of the concept of'Risk Assessment'
Training & Experience
Bachelor/Degree in an Engineeringdiscipline, preferable Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Coming from theconstruction/mechanical professional area, with a minimum of 10 years ofexperience
Fluent German and English languagesknowledge is a must. Knowledge of Italian and/or French language could be aplus
Availability to frequent travels orshort/long term assignments abroad is required by the position
Multi-office project experience
Good communication skills
Excellent level of Safety Awareness
