Job Description:
As part of team Jacobs, you will work with the client to understand the information requirements, as you leverage the data environment to develop answers and solutions for decision making on real-world missions. You will use various analytic platforms and manage cloud services to build scalable data pipelines to extract insights by leveraging open-source data and tools. You will integrate into a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts applying elements of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application-specific knowledge to gather, make, and communicate principled conclusions from data developing enterprise-grade analytic capabilities.
Program Mission:
U.S. Special Operations Command requires professional services to carry out culturally relevant internet-based influence activities for synchronizing, planning, generating, and assessing the effectiveness of the global program. These activities provide the Department of Defense with the ability to conduct persistent, networked, and distributed operations in the information environment to counter terrorist ideology, malign influence from state actors, and provide global stability.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with data science, data analytics, machine learning, or statistics, including in a management or advisory role
Experience with object-oriented programming language SQL and one of the following; Python, C++, Java, R.
Experience with cloud services, including AWS and Azure.
Experience with identifying and analyzing data sets to meet customer requirements
Experience with preparing customer data for models, including merging and aggregating data, handling anomalies, balancing, and feature selection
Experience in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data
Experience with AI/ML, data algorithms, and predictive models
Ability to help interpret model results and communicate them clearly through compelling data visualizations
TS/SCI eligibility (Employer may sponsor)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with a wide range of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including neural networks, decision trees, logistic regressions, or dimension reduction
Experience with data engineering and data science tools, including Databricks, ElasticSearch, Apache NiFi, or StreamSets
Experience with enterprise DataOps, DevSecOps, and MLOps processes to operationalize and monitor data science models
Experience with Agile development
Experience with CI/CD, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker
Experience with data analysis and reporting, including dashboard development, data cleansing, metrics analysis, and research
Knowledge of procedural SQL language, including PL and PGSQL
Ability to explain analytic and model findings to non-technical audiences
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, CS, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or Statistics
