Job Description:

Jacobs is in search of a GCP-V Transregional Analyst to join our dynamic team at MacDill AFB, FL. This role is pivotal in supporting the development and assessment of the Global Campaign Plan against Violent Extremist Organizations.

Program Mission:

In partnership with Jacobs, the USSOCOM J51 and J52 divisions collaboratively work to fortify the nation's defense against irregular warfare and asymmetric challenges. Leveraging Jacobs' specialized services and expertise, J51 crafts global approaches for SOF applications aligned with DoD's Global Campaigns, while J52 formulates USSOCOM's strategy, policy, and posture. Together, with Jacobs' support, these divisions ensure the precise, informed, and dynamic allocation of Special Operations Forces to uphold and advance the objectives of the National Defense Strategy. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of the Global Campaign Plan against Violent Extremist Organizations (GCP-V).

  • Offer expertise on counterterrorism strategies and support Transregional Synchronization Forums (TRSF).

  • Analyze current operational intelligence pertaining to counterterrorism efforts.

  • Engage in threat analysis research, aiming to define the effectiveness of GCP-V and identify potential gaps.

  • Lead and participate in Assessment Exchange Workshops, ensuring production and completion of campaign assessment deliverables.

  • Serve as a primary writer for bi-annual GCP-V assessments and provide recommendations for future plan adaptations.

  • Prepare executive-level assessment products for high-ranking boards and committees.

  • Offer geopolitical insights for CVEO studies and assessments, aligning with command strategy and policy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in counterterrorism strategies and methodologies.

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate GCP-V objectives and its effectiveness.

  • Proficient in creating assessment structures and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with the mission, organization, and interrelationships of DOD, Joint Staff, and interagency entities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous involvement with GCP-V or similar campaign plans.

  • A background in studying radical ideologies, particularly those related to violent extremism.

  • Can seamlessly collaborate across various departments and effectively communicate with senior leaders.
