About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager with a strong focus on digital transformation and product development. This role is pivotal in guiding our clients, primarily in utilities, transport, and defence sectors, through their digital transformation journeys. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our strategy to deliver innovative product solutions, aiding in climate response initiatives, and bolstering cybersecurity.

You will bring a product mindset to our delivery teams, acting as the bridge between client need and technology teams. You will be a versatile and agile servant leader, able to interface with multiple clients to shape/build custom solutions. You will bridge the gap between our know-how and customer problem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of product strategies that align with our clients’ digital transformation goals, focusing on product solutions as a key driver.

  • Act as a primary consultant to our clients, understanding their unique challenges and opportunities, especially in the context of digital transformation, climate response, and cybersecurity.

  • Collaborate with Transformation teams, Solution Architects and Business Architects to design and implement product solutions that meet client needs, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture requirements, business objectives, change initiatives and delivery programmes.

  • Utilize capability and value stream mapping to identify and leverage business opportunities in the digital space.

  • Spearhead the management and communication of product requirements, ensuring they are in line with digital strategies and product solution offerings.

  • Promote the importance of product as a strategic asset in achieving business goals and driving technological innovation and business transformation.

  • Develop and execute plans for enterprise product architecture that support business, product, IT and transformation strategies.

  • Foster the growth of an emerging management consultancy practice focused on enterprise product architecture and transformation.

  • Work closely with domain experts and technical leadership to orchestrate the delivery of critical digital projects and contribute to the digital portfolio.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Proven experience in product management, particularly in digital transformation and product development strategies within utilities, transport, or defence sectors.

  • Adaptable and agile servant leader; we act like a startup within a wider corporate environment, growing at pace. Ability to flex, shape, and influence is important.

  • Familiarity with digital transformation frameworks, and product-driven solution design (e.g. Pragmatic Marketing, Agile Product Management).

  • Understanding of the architecture and challenges associated with managing and harnessing large volume data, streamed data, artificial intelligence and automation, business intelligence and software delivery.

  • Awareness of emerging trends in big data, artificial intelligence, business intelligence and software delivery.

  • Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with immediate business needs and technological advancements.

  • Strong skills in client engagement, problem definition, and solution shaping in a consulting capacity, including the ability to work alone and unsupervised or embedding in client teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence client decisions. A team player who can identify opportunities for cross-selling consulting and solution development services.
