Our Environment, Maritime andResilience businessprovides a focus for advising our clients on sustainability issues includingrenewable energy, low carbon economies, impacts of climate change and waste andresource management. Our environmental capabilities comprise of in excess of1000 staff based predominantly in the UK, but with reach into the MiddleEast and in India.

To meetour growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are seekinga number of Senior Environmental Scientists.

Thepositions will ideally be based from Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester,Reading and Southampton however alternative office locations will be consideredfor suitably qualified candidates.

ResponsibilitiesInclude:

  • Coordinating and managing EIA or SEAprojects, including those in the highways, utilities and power sectors.

  • Maintaining our high quality of environmental deliverables and ensuring sound project financial performance.

  • Providing client advice and support on technical matters relating to planning, EIA and practical environmental management.

  • Liaising with clients, engineers and other design team members.

  • Mentoring and providing leadership of junior staff.

  • Supporting business development initiatives

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A good degree qualification in a relevant environmental/natural science. Second/higher degree desirable.

  • A track record of successful task and project management on EIA projects, with experience of working within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong technical skills in environmental assessment, with excellent report writing skills, and experience of Environmental Statement preparation.

  • Chartered or demonstrably working towards achieving chartered status

Desirable:

  • Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) experience.

  • Road or rail scheme, utilities and power sector experience.

  • Chartered Environmentalist
